భారతదేశంలో దత్తత Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 మరియు Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA) ద్వారా నియంత్రించబడుతుంది. ఇక్కడ దశలవారీగా ప్రక్రియ ఉంది:
నమోదు (Registration): భావితర దత్తత తల్లిదండ్రులు (Prospective Adoptive Parents - PAPs) CARA వెబ్‌సైట్ లేదా దత్తత ఏజెన్సీ ద్వారా Central Adoption Resource Information and Guidance System (CARINGS)లో నమోదు చేసుకోవాలి.
హోమ్ స్టడీ రిపోర్ట్ (Home Study Report - HSR): ఒక social worker, Specialized Adoption Agency (SAA) నుండి వచ్చి PAPs యొక్క suitabilityను పరీక్షిస్తారు. ఈ రిపోర్ట్ మూడు సంవత్సరాల పాటు చెల్లుబాటులో ఉంటుంది.
శిశువు రిఫరల్ (Referral of a Child): HSR ఆధారంగా, CARA PAPsతో ఒక శిశువును కలిపిస్తుంది. PAPs శిశువు యొక్క ప్రొఫైల్‌ను చూడవచ్చు మరియు రిఫరల్‌ను అంగీకరించవచ్చు.

ముందస్తు దత్తత ఫాస్టర్ కేర్ (Pre-Adoption Foster Care): రిఫరల్‌ను అంగీకరించిన తర్వాత, PAPs శిశువును ఫాస్టర్ కేర్‌లో తీసుకోగలరు మరియు ఒక ఫాస్టర్ కేర్ ఒప్పందంపై సంతకం చేయగలరు.
దత్తత పిటిషన్ దాఖలు (Filing Adoption Petition): PAPs ఫాస్టర్ కేర్ ప్లేస్‌మెంట్ 30 రోజుల్లోగా సంబంధిత కోర్టులో దత్తత పిటిషన్‌ను దాఖలు చేయాలి.
కోర్టు విచారణ (Court Hearing): దత్తత ప్రక్రియ చట్టబద్ధమైనదని మరియు శిశువు సంక్షేమం సురక్షితమని నిర్ధారించడానికి కోర్టు విచారణ నిర్వహిస్తుంది. దీనిలో శిశువు మరియు PAPs కోర్టుకు హాజరవాల్సి రావచ్చు.
దత్తత ఆర్డర్ (Adoption Order): కోర్టు సంతృప్తి చెందినట్లయితే, అది దత్తత ఆర్డర్‌ను జారీ చేస్తుంది, తద్వారా దత్తత చట్టబద్ధమైనదిగా మరియు తుది దశలో ఉంటుంది.
పుట్టిన సర్టిఫికెట్ (Birth Certificate): దత్తత ఆర్డర్ తర్వాత, PAPs శిశువు కోసం కొత్త పుట్టిన సర్టిఫికెట్ కోసం దరఖాస్తు చేసుకోవచ్చు, ఇందులో వారిని తల్లిదండ్రులుగా చూపిస్తారు.
మతం మరియు వ్యక్తిగత చట్టాల ఆధారంగా దత్తత ప్రక్రియలు కొద్దిగా భిన్నంగా ఉండవచ్చు, కానీ పై దశలు CARA కింద సాధారణ ప్రక్రియను కవర్ చేస్తాయి.
